Upcoming David Lynch remix of a Mylène Farmer song

Holey moley! My favourite singer and my favourite director! I'm not big on remixes, but I'm intrigued. The Feder 'remix' of Désenchantée uses a new vocal recording by Mylène, so this might be more of a 'new arrangement' album.

The original isn't too shabby to start with (NSFW)!!

Huh, and here I was thinking he was done with his music phase. I was a fan of all his remixes, as they're about what you'd expect in terms of atmosphere.

I've never really liked remixes. I'm fine with new arrangements. There have been some superb different arrangements of Mylène's work in live performances down the years. I never got along with Mylène's other two remix albums and thus never bothered to buy them (I've heard them online.)

Trouble is, a lot of remixes sound like someone fiddling with a synth and mixing desk while using the vocal stem of the singer clearly singing along to the original arrangement. Just awful! Feder's Désenchantée remix uses that annoying DJ remix 'beat' of sounding like he's turning the volume up and down fast. Feder produced Mylène's album before last - Désobeissance - which suffered from having effectively the same beat on many of the tracks. The first three tracks are fun, but after that it becomes monotonous.

I'll be interested to hear what Je te rends ton amour sounds like. The original has a rhythm that reminds me of James Bond for some reason!!
