This was the Season 1 finale and it was written AND directed by Mark Frost (the only time he directed and the only time a single writer and director helmed an episode) and was chockfull of cliffhangers, including the "Who Shot JR Cooper?" one (as we discussed in another thread):

Today I was reading my first draft copy of #007 and came across a female trio named 'The Nightingales':

Page 40:

We hear three part harmony do-wop music from somewhere in the room

59. A SMALL STAGE

At the end of the casino room, under a large moose-head, an ALL-GIRL TRIO is singing a
pretty song. A sign near them reads: THE Nightingales.

They are present throughout the casino sequence. I can't help but be reminded of the trio of girls in Season Three.

Forgive me if this info is known. I didn't see it anywhere on the internet.
