Two-part video series covering the original series, Fire Walk With Me, and Season Three.

Among other things, it discusses:
  • The concept of TV reflexivity
  • Twin Peaks's relationship with the golden age of television
  • Male auteurship in late prestige dramas
  • The logic/emotion dichotomy in storytelling
Part 1 Twin Peaks Actually, ACTUALLY EXPLAINED (jk not really)

Part 2 Twin Peaks: The Return -- I'LL TELL YOU WHAT IT MEANS!!!

Interesting approach! I like that she criticises the overly popular, over rationalising analyses (Twin Perfect being a prime example) which are probably just as male-viewpoint oriented as the culture she claims the show is trying to tackle.

Did you catch the second part? Really interesting observations on how Twin Peaks built on/bounced off the shows that were themselves indebted to the original series.
