Harold Smith will forever be one of my favourite characters of Twin Peaks. Rest in peace.

Sad news. Lenny Von Dohlen was wonderful as Harold Smith on the show, and it’s so great that he was among the lucky few who also got to appear in FWWM. It was also quite nice to see him with such a prominent role in the Dual Spires tribute to Twin Peaks, looking so healthy and youthful at that.

Gone far too soon from this mortal realm, may he abide in bliss.

P.S. I remember at the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns when we all became Harold Smith. (There’s an excellent picture of Lenny Van Dohlen in that thread, by the way.)

He was an integral part of a great batch of episodes, and Harold Smith's short story arc was beautiful and tragic... Il avait une âme solitaire.

Harold Smith was always the character in TP that hit closest to home for me. Plus his theme music might be the best track Badalamenti did for the original series.
