LOOKING FOR JFK FROM DUGPA BOARDS - YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! ARE YOU HERE? IF NOT, WHO ELSE HAS SEEN SARAGOSSA MANUSCRIPT?

I apologize in advance for all the mistakes in formatting/website norms because I have not used this site yet. I have been trying to track down whoever the user named "JFK" was in the Dugpa forums. INLAND EMPIRE has been my favorite Lynch for awhile and I love that I'll never fully understand it. That being said, I have gone done some deep rabbit holes online to find info/theories about the film. There is a post on Dugpa from JFK (circa 2008) about a Polish movie called The Saragossa Manuscript, which someone had recommended for a better understanding of IE (this characterization could be wrong given how brief the post was!), so I immediately watched it. I don't know that I got anything considered insight into IE but for the past few months I have been trying to reach the person who posted that rec. It is a Polish film that had essentially no real release until the 2000s despite it having been filmed in the 60s (which is an awesome story - definitely google the movie if for nothing than its backstory alone).

Yes yes yes! The Saragossa Manuscript is an amazing film! I got interested to find it when I read about Jerry Garcia’s and then Martin Scorsese’s funding to find the original uncut version of it and get it released. The DVD I purchased in the mid-2000s has a blurb by David Lynch on the back… “ Simultaneously horrific, erotic and funny…this is one mother of a film.”
This intricate, supernatural, magical story with tales within tales within tales is not to be missed!

this is the first time I'm learning that! I would pay money I don't have for that DVD. it also makes a lot of sense given Lynch's connection to Lodz

This is the version I have…

Just looked closer and the cover is the same, but the back (where the Lynch quote is on mine) is different…
I bought that within seconds of seeing that $15 price
