Finally! I used to take the occasional punt at trying to find her, and thought I'd narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities. Turns out I was way off!

She seems really interesting, albeit not much of a conversationalist. Refreshing that she lives in a world where Lil was just some job she had years ago that she doesn't really seem to have thought much about in thirty years, as well as having no idea that people would even be interested in hearing about it!

Friends, it's getting closer to that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. I hope that all of you have your woodsmen ready for the witching season. I know I do. (Let me know if you need a lead on some good woodsmen.)

I rarely see this mentioned (perhaps for good reason) but yes, Jack Nance made a nine minute spanking fetish video in 1991 with then wife Kelly Van Dyke-Nance.

You can find it on Archive.org

Bring on the ultimate FWWM fanedit!

Someone with skills really needs to edit a bit of the video into some part of FWWM (or more likely the series) for maximum hilarity, ideally in a way that won’t get it instantly removed from YouTube.

The Love Boat. Season 7.

And Lauren Tewes, who played Julie in the main cast of The Love Boat, was in The Return, as the neighbor in the scene where Becky is after Steven and shoots at the door in the apartment building.

I remember Walter Olkewicz in an episode of Cheers back in the early 80s. He gets in a fight with Norm (George Wendt) in the bar. I believe they were friends in real life. If I remember the story correctly, when FWWM came out George Wendt asked Walter what the line "I am the great went" meant. I always thought it was funny, like it was personal to him. "I am the great Wendt."

I watched the sitcom "Grace Under Fire" in the 90s. Walter had a recurring role as a really sweet, adorable guy. Far from Jacques. And his name was Dougie!

Thanks @Jasper as per your post in the Waiting Room. I had no idea these existed.

So they were friends/friendly at a certain time.
Wonder what happened. I bet it was a boy thing.

I think it probably had to do with the attention Ben was paying to Laura making everyone uncomfortable. There’s a scripted scene for FWWM where Sylvia complains that Ben has a framed photo of Laura on his desk, but no photos of Audrey or Sylvia (which is indeed the case on the series). It doesn’t seem like he was super subtle.

Perhaps it means "I am the Great Whale." or "I am far gone (drunk)." or "I am the great drunkard."

WARNING: Anticlimactic Dream Narrative

Last night I had a dream where I was walking down a sidewalk on a sunny day, passing a very long line of people who were facing the opposite direction, standing there waiting to get into some kind of large sports event. One of them casually called out after I’d passed him, a friend of mine who seemed slightly offended that I hadn’t noticed him, and I looked back, and said, “Oh, hey,” and when I was looking back, I noticed another friend in the line, but I just kept going in the opposite direction. I turned left into a store, which was like an old style video rental store, though it’s not quite clear what was on the shelves. Books? Tapes? Discs? I don’t know, but I do know that I was looking for some kind of edition, real or imagined, of The Secret Diary Of Laura Palmer. This was a relatively large store, and I eventually found myself towards the back, wandering aimlessly among the many different shelves and racks, totally confused and having no luck whatsoever in my search. I didn’t really want to ask for help, but I sheepishly glanced at the checkout area back closer to the entrance, and I saw that it was staffed by a man and a woman, and the man, to my surprise, was Russ Tamblyn. I became a little embarrassed, because while I felt that I absolutely needed The Secret Diary Of Laura Palmer (book, audiobook, short film, whatever it was), and from that precise store, I now knew that if I asked for help finding it, Russ Tamblyn would know for sure that I knew his identity, and that he’d been reduced to working the counter of a media rental store (perhaps because Lynch isn’t making Twin Peaks). Then, luckily, Russ went somewhere else in the store, to arrange a shelf or something, so I made my move to the counter and asked the woman, who had long, straight, dark brown hair, if there was a “horror section.” She was very friendly and affirmative, but unfortunately my memory of the dream trails off there.

When I awoke and remembered this, I found the theme of the big sports event and all the people and friends going one way, vs. the lone hunt for weird obscure media, to be pretty hilarious. There’s also a theme of a search for the missing diary, which is itself an in-universe Twin Peaks narrative, and was probably generated by my desire to find (or find out more about) Carrie Page (carry page, i.e. carrying the missing diary page), and for that particular story to continue in some way, or at least yield more clues. An out-of-work Russ Tamblyn actually fits in reasonably well with this unfulfilled quest.
